A common theme in art today is the struggle and obvious tension between the animal kingdom and mankind. Pennsylvania native Tom Chambers highlights this tension in his photomontages.
On his site, he shares, “The animal kingdom and mankind engage in an ongoing dance of co-existence which results in a predictable tension. This tension has escalated with man’s increasing disregard for the fragility of the environment and abdication of his responsibility to care for the earth.”
Chambers hopes to bring our attention to the danger we put our fragile environment in. He portrays a dark and emotional world with the aspiration that all of us will be inspired to change our bad habits.
