If you’re looking for one art show to attend this year, I’d like to suggest Thinkspace’s upcoming 5 Year Anniversary blow out. Established in 2005, Thinkspace is one of the few galleries who doesn’t just follow trends, they start them. They’ve been a part of the contemporary art movement for years now, showcasing groundbreaking work from a new generation of artists, ones that aren’t afraid to push boundaries and ones that we’ve proudly shared with you right here on Best Bookmarks.

As a special treat, Andrew Hosner, the co-owner and curator of Thinkspace has given us a sneak peek into their epic show. The event will feature works from 48 artists – those who helped to establish the gallery, those that have grown with them, and the first timers who have big shows coming up with Thinkspace in 2011 and beyond.
“We’re excited to profile all the amazing work in our upcoming 5 Year Anniversary show,” Hosner tells us. “It’s all gone by so fast, but in our first five years as a gallery we’ve hosted well over 100 exhibitions and each month continues to be rewarding, exciting and challenging in all the best ways possible. This exhibition was so tough to put together as it was hard to narrow down those that we would feature since we’ve been a big part of so many artist’s careers over the years. I like to feel we put together a pretty solid representation of our past, present and future.”
He continues, “The show is coming together super strong thus far with everyone putting forth their A game and then some. We can’t wait for all to share in the festivities with us this November!”
For those who want to know what’s in store, here are ten sneak peek pieces. Some you’ll find inside Thinkspace’s Sneak Peek Flickr album but for most, no one on the internet has yet seen these.
