Russian graphic designer Tatiana Plakhova blows us away with her beautiful art featuring science fiction-like creatures living under the sea. Her handmade vectors come alive when the lines and dots connect to form intricate patterns and shapes. If you feel as though you’re seeing living, breathing organisms, that’s exactly what Plakhova wants. In fact, before making a biological project, she collects thousands of microscopy photos and botanical images as inspiration.

Tatiana Plakhova was born in Moscow, Russia. She graduated from Moscow State University in Social Psychology, and then studied in the High Academic School of Graphic Design. She’s since developed her own design studio, Colour Atelier.
