While Los Angeles-based artist Caia Koopman was wildly preparing for a series of solo shows across France with SpaceJunk Galleries, she shared the painting process. Koopman has emerged as one of lowbrow’s preeminent female artists with her fine detail for beauty – showing the elegance, strengths, and vulnerabilities of femininity.
Her work is alluring with a sense of whimsy. This particular painting is full of color, and it has the feminine touch that she is known for. From start to finish, she visually shares with us her creative process. Love how it starts with pencil sketches and ends with beautiful brushstrokes!
